What is the GED?
The GED is the equivalent of a high school diploma in the United States. It's an official certification that proves you have achieved the level of study equivalent to a high school education. At Casa de Amistad, we are here to support you as you prepare for the GED exam, providing a step-by-step approach in a supportive learning environment.
Why is it important to get your GED?
Obtaining your GED certificate can be your path to a brighter future, giving you the opportunity to:

-
Advance your career: Get access to better jobs and salaries.
-
Continue your education: The GED is accepted by 98% of universities and colleges in the United States for higher education applications.
-
Meet specific requirements: The GED may be a requirement for programs like DACA.
We believe it's never too late to invest in your future. We are here to help you achieve your educational goals!
How to earn your GED with us
Earning your GED certificate is a straightforward process. You simply need to pass four exams in the following subjects:

-
Language Arts
-
Social Studies
-
Mathematics
-
Science
You don't have to take all the exams at once. You can study for and take each one at your own pace. The key to success is your dedication: the time you invest outside of class and the effort you put into each lesson.
Our GED Classes
We offer two virtual classes each week, on Mondays and Thursdays, taught in Spanish. We supplement this learning with a computer-based course that allows you to study and practice at your own pace so you can feel completely prepared on exam day.
