Owen Rayburn
Owen is an ESL Instructor at Casa de Amistad, where he brings enthusiasm and dedication to supporting students in their English language learning journey. He is a Linguistics major at the University of Georgia with a minor in French and is also studying Spanish in his free time. This is his first teaching position, and he is excited to combine his academic studies with hands-on community engagement.
Originally from Athens, Georgia, Owen has volunteered at the Bigger Vision homeless shelter, where he gained experience working closely with diverse communities. He was introduced to Casa de Amistad through a family friend and one of his professors, and he was immediately inspired by the organization’s mission to combine language learning with community development.
In addition to his work at Casa, Owen enjoys exploring new languages and cultures and is passionate about making a positive impact in the Athens community. In his free time, he continues to deepen his knowledge of Spanish and engage in local volunteer opportunities.
