Caroline Scheneider

Caroline is the Program Director of the Spanish Program at Casa de Amistad and a Spanish instructor at the University of Georgia. The Spanish Program includes Spanish language courses and GED preparation courses taught in Spanish, designed to support students in achieving both academic and personal goals. 

Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Caroline graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Linguistics. She relocated to Athens in 2022 to pursue an M.A. in Linguistics at UGA, which she completed in May 2024. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies, she gained experience teaching and assisting in ESL, Linguistics, and Spanish courses, bringing a well-rounded perspective to her work.

In addition to her work at Casa de Amistad, she teaches Spanish at UGA and is a member of the Second Language Acquisition and Cognition (SLAC) Lab. When she isn’t working, Caroline enjoys visiting local cafes and going to the gym.
